MEEK!

Matthew            The Words of Jesus
11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

That is not true. Did Jesus forget what he said earlier? Seems like his yoke is very heavy.

10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
10:18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

MEEK - Overly submissive or compliant; spiritless; tame? Jesus says he is meek?

10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

Jesus is VERY far from meek. He came to reek havoc upon the earth, not to bring peace!

No Man Knoweth

Matthew        Words of Jesus?
11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

SAY WHAT???  No man knoweth the son but the father and no man knoweth the father but the son and whoever the son will reveal.
Is it any wonder Christians don't read the bible. This is a lot of gibberish!

No man knoweth why I am doing this, save me, and only I knoweth why man knoweth not that which I know.  AAAAHHHHH!!!

Not Fair

Matthew           The Words of Jesus
11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Hey!  That's not fair or just!  The Lord hast hidden these things from the wise? What is this, some kind of set up?  What kind of being goes around hiding things from people and then punishing them because they didn't understand? This seemed GOOD in his sight!  I don't get it. Are you hiding things from me again?

What the heaven?

Matthew      The Words of Jesus
11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

First of all, everyone is born of a woman.
Secondly, there is a cast system in Heaven?  Poor John!  I guess we know who's cleaning Gods toilet.
And third,  Violence in Heaven?  The violent take it by force???? If this can happen in Heaven once, couldn't it happen again?  Obviously, omniscient and omnipotent God can't even control things in HEAVEN A.K.A PARADISE. What the Hell?  Heaven has really lost it's appeal.  You don't know if you'll be serving people mana, or if you'll be served, and, there is no guarantee that you will not be the victim of violence.  Some paradise!

John the Forgetful

Matthew
11:2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
11:3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

Wait a minute!  Didn't John the baptist baptize Jesus? Didn't he know then that he was the son of God? Well, lets see.

3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

John must have forgotten that he said these things on the day that he baptized Jesus.  It just goes to show you what a diet of locust and honey can do to ones brain. he completely forgot that he met Jesus. He even forgets that Jesus is his cousin. ODD!

Prince of Peace?

Matthew          The Words of Jesus
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

These are the words spoken by the worlds Prince of Peace.  That warm and loving Messiah of today's churches.
I'm pretty sure that today's Christians overlook these words of Christ. He came to set people against each other, NOT bring them together!
I wonder how many Christians, TRULY, love Jesus more then their family members? BEWARE! Your foes shall be in your own household!  Wow! This could make a person VERY paranoid!  : )

Curious

Matthew  Word's of Jesus
9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Why does Jesus ask his disciples to pray for labourers.  You would think that God would already know what his son needs. You wouldn't think the Messiah would need someone to pray for him.  Curiouser and curiouser!

DON'T TELL

Matthew
9:28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
9:30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
9:31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
Why would Jesus want them not to tell people what he did and why would they tell everyone what he did if he told them not to. He is omniscient so he knew when he healed them that they would tell everyone what happened, so why did he bother saying anything? This is just silly. He wants people to know about all of his other miracles.

PHARISEES UNSEEN!

Matthew
9:11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Surely, Jesus is not calling the Pharisees righteous.
12:14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
Perhaps the Pharisees were the ones he should have been trying to save. He can read mans thoughts and can tell people what the future holds but he didn't know that it would be the Pharisees who would be the true evil against him? Seems he didn't want to save the Pharisees!

SON OF WHO?

Matthew
9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
9:3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
9:4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
9:5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
Son of man, son of God, son of David or could it be son of Sam? Who knows who's son Jesus is! Was it a man or was it the Holy spirit who impregnated Mary?
9:7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
9:8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Jesus knows their thoughts, forgives their sins and heals their ills and they still consider him a man. He keeps telling them he is the son of God and yet they marvel that god has given him such power. They had faith enough to make Jesus heal the man with palsy but not faith enough to not be shocked when he does. Confusing!

Little Faith

Matthew
8:23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
8:25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Why do his disciples have so little faith in him after they saw him heal people and cast out demons. Why do they call him lord most of the time but here they wonder what manner of man he is. Are they still not convinced that he is the messiah? It is hard for me to believe that anyone would be that stupid if they saw the things that they supposedly saw.

Geez!

Matthew
8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
So he healed her, and then she took care of him and the disciples? If he is powerful enough to heal people, why did he need her to minister unto them. Give the poor woman a break!

Faith?

Matthew      The Words of Jesus
8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
? Why didn't he make this faith filled Centurion a disciple if he had never found so great a faith. Did the disciples have faith?
If he could heal from a distance, why didn't he just heal people like that all the time. Why did he have to travel to heal sometimes?

Good to be God

Matthew    The words of Jesus
7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.
Wait, Didn't Jesus tell us not to call anyone a fool? I better back track.
5:22 Whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Yep! He sure did. Is this another case of, do as I say, not as I do.
?  I thought we shouldn't be as the hypocrites.  It's good to be God!

Bad Fruit?

Matthew    The words of Jesus!
7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Very interesting!  God created all things. ALL THINGS!  Good as well as EVIL. Now, if we can know them by their fruits, and God bringeth bad fruit, shouldn't we cut him down? A GOOD tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, so how can Christian God be good?

Hypocrite!

Matthew  Jesus's words!
7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Once again, God should consider his actions before making statements like this. Talk about a hypocrite! Christian God has done things that none of us could even imagine thinking about doing. God's eye has a forest in it!

Judge Not?

7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Does this also apply to God or is he being a hypocrite again? Imagine if we held him responsible for all the atrocities he has committed. The infanticide, homicide and genocide.  Judge not, Christian God, lest ye be judged!

LIFE OF LEISURE

Matthew       Jesus's Words
6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

We don't have to do anything. All we have to do is sit around and talk about God and he will provide everything.  No more growing food or hunting.  No more worrying about clothing. We don't even have to think for ourselves. Why have we been bothering with anything?

Yet another example of the illogical nature of Jesus.  Could you imagine our world if people actually heeded this advice.

VAIN REPETITION?

Matthew     Jesus's Words!
6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they
think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven,Hallowed be thy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Do NOT use vain repetitions when praying? Wouldn't the Lord's prayer be considered a VAIN REPETITION? I have heard it thousands of times. OVER AND OVER AND OVER etc.  What about all the Hail Mary's!
Then it tells us that your father knows what things you need before you ask? HUH? Then why the heck do people have to pray in the first place. Wouldn't praying be in vain if God already knows what you need?

PLEASE! PRAY IN THY CLOSET!!!

Matthew         Jesus's words!
6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Here is more unheeded advice from Jesus.  Preachers and priests pray every Sunday in their churches, not to mention the long winded prayers at Graduations and other public events. We were in the hospital the other day, with my father in law, and his preacher wanted us all to join hands, so that he could give a long, loud prayer. We did not join hands for this VERY public display.

Do Christians listen to anything their savior tells them?

Since Doug and I have become Atheists, we have noticed that the Christians in our lives have been praying in front of us more. How I wish they would listen to Jesus and go into a closet!

HA HA HA HA

MATTHEW 5  JESUS SAYS!
43: Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47: And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
George Bush, do you read the bible? It says to LOVE thine enemies! Bless them that curse you.  I have NEVER met anyone who could live by this, and that includes Christian God himself, or he would LOVE Satan and all those who sin.  Practice what you preach Christian God.
This one really cracks me up coming from a jealous and vengeful being.

JESUS BEING LIBERAL!

Matthew 5   JESUS SAYS!
38: Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40: And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41: And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42: Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Wow! The Christian right wing are not going to like this one bit!  Allow people to smite thee! Give people who sue you more then they want! Loan out whatever someone asks to borrow!
Uh oh, no more death penalty ( That ye resist not evil )
Thumbs up for Welfare ( Give to him that asketh thee )   Conservative????  Seriously, what would your life be like if you lived by these illogical words. You would be a flat broke and abused. This is crazy talk!

I SWEAR!

Matthew 5    JESUS SAYS!
33: Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36: Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37: But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
I'm confused. Who was the idiotic person who came up with the idea to swear on the bible. This does not seem hard to understand.  Do Christians deliberately ignore what Jesus says.  I thought he was their Messiah.

Adultery

Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
I know this is one a lot of Christians choose to ignore. I know some Christian couples commiting adultery right now. Funny how high the divorce rate is in churches, when the Messiah said these words.  He says nothing of being unevenly yoked. Lots of people would leave the church if they had to follow the teachings of Christ.

YET MORE OF CHRIST'S VIOLENCE!

Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
let the blood bath begin! Jesus says to start plucking and cutting. My husband is now blind and unable to blog for lack of hands, but it's better that he not go to Hell.
Funny, I haven't seen many eyeless and handless Christians.
Once again, peaceful, loving Jesus is behaving irrationally. Who is this Jesus they tell us about in church?

NO LUSTING PLEASE!

5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Jesus's words again!  What about King David? What about Abraham? etc. etc. Lusting and adultery was all through the Old Testament and God didn't seem to mind, but now you are in trouble for just looking at a woman with lust. I'm just glad that it says nothing about looking at a man with lust. Seems, sometimes, like the bible only applies to men.  Jesus is tough and very judgmental.

Not So Gentle Messiah

Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Once again the words of Jesus. Wow! Raca means stupid. You will be in danger of the council for calling someone stupid. I know a lot of Christians who are in big trouble.
So there is still a Hell, and it is filled with people who say, thou fool, and not those who break the commandments.
Jesus is even more harsh then the Old Testament. He will judge you for being angry at your brother without a cause. So much for a kind and gentle messiah.

YOU MUST KEEP THE LAWS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT!

MATTHEW 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
These are the words of Jesus. He came to fulfil the law of the Old Testament. He did not say that if you simply believe on his name you are saved. Not one jot or tittle will pass from the law. You must STILL keep the laws of the Old Testament. Oh, the liberal churches won't like that.
ODD! No mention of Hell like in the Old Testament, which is where the jots and tittles come from, but instead you will be the least in Heaven. So I guess everyone gets into Heaven. You just may not be one of the greatest people in Heaven.
Can everyone go to Heaven now? Does Hell still exist? I was taught all wrong if this is what Jesus says.
